Bar-Ilan University lecturer, Mordechai Kedar: The Palestinian Authority must evaporate

Dr. Mordechai Kedar is a lecturer in Arabic Department at Bar-Ilan University and a researcher at the Begin-Sadat Center for Strategic Studies at the same university. He was a colonel in military intelligence.

Dr. Mordechai Kedar said that the Palestinian Authority must evaporate. Additionally, Israel must replace it with local governors for the municipalities on the basis of clan system that actually dominates there.

Kedar says in his plan: It seems that the most likely scenario is to weaken the PA and evaporate it the day after Abu Mazen goes.

Therefore, Kedar sees that “It is necessary to establish a local” emirate “in every Palestinian city based on the clans that are strong in every city. Israel will be around them all the time, and 10 percent of those living in villages outside the cities will be granted citizenship,” Kedar said.

“Israel will also have to recognize the state of Gaza and live with it side by side in a state of deterrence,” Kedar said.

“Hamas coup in 2007 actually shot and killed the Palestinian Authority,” Kedar said.

The most famous racist statements attributed to this extremist:

“The only thing that deter the Palestinians from resisting the occupation is to know that their sister or mother will be raped in case of their arrest,” he told Israeli radio in Hebrew in 2014.

He added: “This is the culture of the Middle East. I have not invented it.”

Then, the most surprising was Bar-Ilan spokeswoman’s defense of his statements when she said: “Kedar did not call for anything other than to fight terrorism through legal means. He wanted to make clear that there were no deterrents for suicide bombers, and he used rape as an example.”

“We will not be surprised tomorrow if an Israeli rapes a Palestinian mother or sister,” Dr. Orit Kemer, a researcher and lecturer in law and head of “Dignity for Human Rights” Center commented. “I found that many people like Dr. Kedar’s comments on his page,” she added.

She ridiculed Bar-Ilan University’s response by saying, “The university rushed to support him as if he were explaining a primitive civilization that we are stuck with and only understand the language of force.”
