Being an Arab does not mean that you could avoid incitement, even if you are a member of the Knesset (parliament) in Israel.
For several days, right-wing activists, with the support and encouragement of Prime Minister Netanyahu, launched an unprecedented campaign of incitement in Israel against Arab deputies. Right-wing activists published photos of the two Arab deputies in the Knesset from the Arab List, Ayman Odeh and Ahmed Tibi, in military uniforms of the Islamic Jihad, to incite against them.
This incitement campaign was encouraged by Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, who published several inciting videos against Arab deputies, describing them as terrorists and supporters of terrorism.
According to news reports, Netanyahu held urgent telephone calls with ministers and members of his Likud party, saying: “Gantz will form a minority government with the support of the Arabs, burn everything”.
