Military forces some 80 residents of Ibziq,to spend two nights away from home because of military training

Today, 20 November 2016, Civil Administration officials arrived at the community of Ibziq, north of Tubas, and told 14 families who live near the Separation Barrier and number 78 people, including 42 minors that they must, again, leave their homes to make way for military training nearby. The orders handed to the families indicated they had to evacuate their homes beginning Monday, 21 November 2016, in the early afternoon until Tuesday, 22 November in the morning, and again, from Tuesday early afternoon to Wednesday morning. This means that the families, from babies to the elderly, will have to spend two nights outside, away from their homes. The same families were temporarily displaced for several hours also on 14 and 15 November. In 2015, families from the same communities were temporarily displaced on eight different occasions.

The military has been training extensively throughout the Jordan Valley in the past few weeks, turning out scores of residents in Palestinian communities in these areas, which Israel defines as firing zones. Since 31 October 2016, families from the communities of Khirbet Khumsah and a-Ras al-Ahmar have also been displaced on three different occasions
