Settlers attack the Bishop of Abud – 06-07-2014

Extremist Jewish settlers assaulted the Bishop of Abud Rev. Atallah Issawi on 6 July 2014 early morning, while returning from Bethlehem to the church. Local sources said that the settlers intercepted the bishop on his way to serve in the church in A’bud village, northwest of Ramallah, accompanied by another priest, they attacked the car with stones and sharp objects near Deir Abu Meshal junction, but the priest was able to escape quickly by driving through another bypass route to get to the church. The car sustained major material damage but the priest was not hurt, the sources pointed out.
