Defense for Children International: The occupation authorities prosecute between 500 and 700 Palestinian children annually

Ayed Abu Qtaish, accountability programme director at Defense for Children International – Palestine, said, “The military courts of occupation try between 500 to 700 Palestinian children annually, including those who are sitting in harsh detention conditions and in solitary confinements.”

Qtaish added in an interview with “Voice of Palestine Radio” today, Saturday, that according to the testimonies that the foundation takes from children detained by the occupation authorities, all of them confirm that they were subjected to physical and psychological torture during interrogation.

Qtaish indicated that the occupying power has killed seven Palestinian children this year, and 2,115 children since 2000.
