Ben-Gvir’s Ministry Transfers Millions to Internationally Sanctioned Settlement Organization “Ahvat Gilad”

The Israeli Ministry of National Security, under Prime Minister Itamar Ben-Gvir, will transfer four million shekels to the “Ahvat Gilad” settlement organization to support illegal outposts in the West Bank. This comes despite six countries imposing sanctions on the organization for its involvement in funding violence against Palestinians.

The “Ahvat Gilad” settlement organization operates in illegal outposts, which Israel refers to as “farms,” ​​in the occupied West Bank. Six countries announced sanctions against the organization last month.

France, Britain, Canada, Norway, Australia, and New Zealand imposed these sanctions on the “Ahvat Gilad” settlement organization after it was found to be involved in funding outposts linked to terrorism and violence against Palestinians. A statement issued by the British government regarding the sanctions stated that the organization acts as a conduit for transferring funds to settlement outposts, directing donations to these outposts, including those linked to terrorism and acts of violence.

Based on the contract between the ministry and the settlement organization, a budget of four million shekels will be allocated for approximately one and a half years, with the possibility of a further one-and-a-half-year extension with a similar budget.
