At least 21 Palestinians lost their eyes due to the occupation army’s fire

An investigation by B’Tselem said that at least 21 Palestinians have lost sight of one eye in the past two years when they have been demonstrating peacefully close to the border fence in Gaza Strip, and a 16-year-old has completely lost his sight.

The personal tragedy of each of them is added to the horrific toll of the victims of the excessive force used by the occupation army:

Using dispersal methods to disperse demonstrations as lethal means – which can kill or cause severe injuries – (live bullets, rubber coated bullets, and gas canisters) is one of the aspects of Israel’s shooting policy. This policy is not legal, not ethical, and expresses disregard for the life and safety of Palestinians, and as long as Israel continues to follow – despite its horrific consequences – the killing and severe harming to the lives of the Palestinians will continue.
