26 Israeli Violations Against Journalists During February 2020

Israeli occupation army continues to violate all international laws that protect journalists’ work and media institutions. Palestinian WAFA news agency said in its monthly report about Israeli violations against journalists that Israeli occupation forces continue to target Palestinian journalists deliberately in a systematic policy that aims to undermine their activities and suppress their role n covering practices and violations committed against Palestinian civilian unarmed citizens.

The report said that the number of injuries among journalists during Feb. 2020 reached 18 cases. Those injuries were a result of rubber bullets,  gas grenades, sound bombs and severe beatings, among other assaults. The number of the detentions, arrests and ID confiscations among  journalists were 7. Other assaults were recorded against institutions and equipment owned by journalists.
