Israeli Occupation Intensifies Displacement of Palestinians and Demolition of Houses

According to information issued by B’Tselem organization, collected since it started documenting demolition of Palestinian houses and displacement of Palestinians, it transpires that before the end of 2020, the number of Palestinians who lost their houses this year in the West Bank (including East Jerusalem) has exceeded the overall annual number since 2016, which then set a record in comparison to the previous period.

The overall  outcome of the Israeli policy of demolition in the first 10 months of this year is 218 Palestinian houses, and 798 homeless people including 404 minors.

In comparison: In 2017, Israel displaced 677 Palestinians, but in 2018 it displaced 397 Palestinians, while in 2017 it displaced 521 Palestinians.

The number of buildings and non-residential facilities demolished by the occupation state during the first 10 months of this year is 301, including humanitarian facilities such as water wells and water lines as well as electricity lines. these are all necessary to maintain human health and to wastewater drainage especially in the period of Coronavius pandemic.
