Betselem: The Occupation’s Report About the Journalist Abu Aqleh: not an “Investigation” But a Whitewash

Human Rights Organization of Betselem said that what the occupation issued about the investigation of killing of the journalist of Shereen Abu Aqleh is not an “Investigation” But a Whitewash.

Betselem affirmed that the murder was not “a mistake” but it is a policy.

The organization said through its official account on Twitter: “Enormous public and international pressure was needed to make Israel spurt a faint confession that one of its soldiers had killed journalist Shireen Abu Akleh, while at the same time shaking off any responsibility for her death”.

The report said that “The killing of Abu Akleh is the predictable result of Israel’s outrageous open fire policy in the Occupied Territories. This policy claims more and more victims while the whitewash continues undisturbed”.

The journalist Abu Aqleh was martyred on Wednesday 11-5-2022 when she was shot dead by the Israeli occupation soldiers while she was covering the raid in Jenin in the occupied West Bank.
