Israeli Occupation Issued 217 Administrative Arrest Orders Against Palestinians Detainees During April 2023

Number of the new administrative arrest orders is 92. 125 renewals of administrative orders were previously issued. The period of administrative arrests ranged between two months and six months.

there are in the Israeli prisons more than 1000 administrative detainees, in prisons (Ofer, Negev, and Majedo) including children, male and female elderly.

The administrative detainee is often subjected to renewal of the detention period more than once for a period of three, six or eight months, and sometimes it may reach a whole year or more.

We point out here that administrative detention is detention without charge or trial, and without the consent of lawyers to examine the evidence materials, which is a complete violation of the provisions of international humanitarian law.

Occupation authorities and prisons administrations claim that administrative detainees have secret files can’t be disclosed. Therefore, an administrative detainee does now know the length of his sentence and the charges against him.
