The Rightist Extremist Bentsi Ghofishtain, Who was Convicted of Incitement to Terrorism,  Works as a Consultant to the Monister Ben Gavir

Haaretz newspaper reported on 8-6-2023 that the rightist extremist Bentsi Ghofishain who was previously convicted legally of incitement to terrorism and racism, is now working as a consulate to the Israeli minister of National Security Itmar Ben Gvir, in cased related to Police. Source who spoke to Haaretz said that  Ghofishain who head the organization of “Lahava” participates in taking decisions related to the leadership of Police and its activities. The sources said that Ghofishain participated in a number of closed meetings held by the minister of National Security in his office and in the ministry.

Haaretz knew that Ghofishain involved in taking the minister’s decision to rebuke the leader of National Guard, Amir Cohen, last February. Ben Gvir did just that, when Cohen supported the Border Police forces that worked to evacuate a vineyard seized by settlers in the West Bank.

A security source said, ” Ghofishain is involved in many decisions related to police leadership and its behavior,” adding that ” Ghofishain, Hanimael Dorfman, and Elah Ben Gvir, the minister’s wife, are the closest people whom Ben Gvir consults and can be influenced by them.” 

The source said that “Ghofishain know what is happening in the leadership of Police, and is very involved in the Police work”. According to the source, “It is madness that this person is the one who provides consultancy to the minister”.
