Israel kills 7 World Central Kitchen employees in a bombing of Gaza

The World Central Kitchen organization said that an Israeli air strike killed 7 of its employees in the Gaza Strip, despite coordination of movements with the Israeli army, and announced the cessation of its work in the region, until decisions are made regarding future operations.

The organization explained, in a press statement, that “our team was traveling in two armored cars bearing the organization’s logo in an area far from conflict zones,” adding that the incident amounted to “an attack on all humanitarian organizations” at a time when food is being used as a weapon of war.

She pointed out that “the convoy was hit when it was leaving a warehouse in the city of Deir al-Balah (central Gaza), where more than 100 tons of humanitarian food aid that came through the sea corridor were being unloaded.”

The #International_Kitchen_Foundation’s vehicle was bombed by the Israeli army in Deir al-Balah, killing four employees of the international organization.
