A hate-filled and extremist speech by an Israeli to a Christian preacher from the United States: “The thing that pleases God is for me to kill you. That’s what the Torah says.”
Dialogue between an Israeli settler and an American Christian preacher:
Israeli: You’re in my country.
Christian preacher: When you go to the United States, you can say whatever you want. That’s the free world, isn’t it?
Israeli: But you’re not in the United States. You’re in Israel.
Christian preacher: I understand.
Israeli: You can’t say whatever you want here.
Christian preacher: Yes, it’s legal. It’s legal to preach about Jesus.
Christian preacher: Are you Jewish? Do you want to honor God? That’s the divine thing to do, to respect one another.
Israeli: The divine thing to do is to kill you.
Christian preacher: The divine thing is to kill me?
Israeli: That’s right. That’s what the Torah says.
Christian preacher: The Torah says to kill us?
Israeli: The Torah says that idolaters like you, when there is a religious council, must be killed.
Christian missionary: If we know how the Jewish people feel about Christians, yes, you discriminate against Christians.
Israeli: Christians are idolaters. The Torah says Christianity is idolatry.
