Nablus – March 12, 2026
Israeli settlers set fire at dawn on Thursday to the “Mohammad Fayyad” Mosque in the village of Duma, south of Nablus, and wrote racist graffiti on its walls.
Local sources reported that residents managed to control the fire before it spread throughout the mosque, preventing greater damage, while the damage was limited to the entrance of the building.

The Palestinian Ministry of Endowments and Religious Affairs warned of an increase in attempts to burn mosques in the West Bank, particularly during the holy month of Ramadan. The ministry stated that the burning of the mosque in Duma and the racist slogans written on its walls come as part of repeated attacks targeting Islamic holy sites.
The ministry called for an end to such attacks and for those responsible to be held accountable, warning of the serious consequences of continued targeting of places of worship.
