A Pennsylvania State University poll, published last Thursday in Haaretz<\/a>, surveyed respondents across Israel.<\/p>\n

The poll revealed that 82% of Israelis support the “forced expulsion” of Palestinians from the Gaza Strip.<\/p>\n

While 56% supported the forced expulsion of Arab citizens of Israel.<\/p>\n

In a similar poll conducted in 2003, 45% supported the “forced expulsion” of Palestinians from the Gaza Strip, and 31% supported the forced expulsion of Arab citizens of Israel.<\/p>\n

In response to a question about whether the Israeli army should “act as the Israelites did in Jericho under Joshua\u2014killing all the inhabitants of the occupied city”\u201447% of respondents supported this.<\/p>\n

The report indicated that more than 65% of respondents “believe in a modern-day incarnation of the Amalekites, the biblical enemy of the Jews.” Among these, 93% believe that the biblical command to \u201cwipe out the Amalekites\u201d is still in effect today.<\/p>\n
