On 10 Feb. 2017, Madama residents went for an outing near the village. Soldiers came from the nearby settlement of Yitzhar, using tear gas. Ahmad Ziyadah, a B’Tselem volunteer who began filming the soldiers, was ordered to leave. Refusing, he was violently detained.
