U.S Organization “Jewish Voice for Peace”: Israel must assume its responsibility as an Occupying Power against the Palestinian People 

The Jewish Voice for Peace Health Advisory Council wrote an open letter on the U.S magazine “Mondoweiss”, calling for Israel to bear full responsibility as an occupying power against the Palestinian people, especially in the healthcare field, amid Coronavirus outbreak”. The U.S organization demanded Israel to start distributing Coronavirus vaccines among Palestinians living in the “occupied Palestinian territories”, as it is deemed an occupying power which must bear responsibility according to the international law.

The signatories of the letter also said: “In our capacity as workers in health sector, , it would be a violation of our professional ethics to stand by in silence as this form of discrimination occurs”. They added saying “Israel Must Assume its Legal and Moral Obligation to Provide COVID-19 Vaccines to the Palestinian Population in the West Bank and Gaza”.

They concluded, stating “We demand that Israel assume its full responsibility as an occupying power and abide by international humanitarian law”.
