A Palestinian was killed and eight others were injured by settler gunfire in Surif, north of Hebron

Hebron, June 19, 2025 – A Palestinian citizen was killed and eight others were injured, including one seriously, by settler gunfire in Surif, Hebron.

The Palestinian Ministry of Health reported that Muhammad Ahmad Mahmoud al-Hour, 48, was killed and another was seriously injured by settler gunfire in Surif.

The mayor of Surif, Hazem Ghneimat, reported that a group of settlers, under the protection of Israeli occupation forces, fired live ammunition at citizens in the “Qurainat” area while they were trying to extinguish a fire started by settlers on land there.

He explained that this resulted in the death of one citizen and the injury of eight others, including one seriously. Some of the injured were transferred to nearby hospitals, while others are still receiving treatment at a medical center in the town.
