Maariv poll: 39% support settler violence against Palestinians in the West Bank

Maariv newspaper published Thursday 6-29-2023. An opinion poll, the results of which said that one out of every five Jews supports acts of violence against Palestinians in the West Bank,

According to Maariv, the poll showed that:

32% of the Israelis who voted for the current ruling coalition led by Netanyahu in Israel do not oppose settlers attacking and burning Palestinian villages.

In addition, 7% supported this within the opposition circles in Israel, according to Maariv.

In other words, 39% of the Israelis, according to the poll, support the violence of settlers against the Palestinians and the attacks, killings and burning of homes they carry out.

These results are dangerous and indicate that the Israeli right-wing government led by Netanyahu, headed by Finance Minister Smotrich and the extremist minister Ben Gvir, is leading the region into an expanding spiral of violence.
