Adam Ghayth – Painful Testimony of a Palestinian Child Detained in Occupation’s Prison of Damon

The child detainee Adam Aboud Ghayth (14 years) from Jerusalem. Another story for targeting childhood in a way that contradicts all international humanitarian laws.

in 24-5-2023, Israeli police and intelligence men stormed Adam’s house, raided his room while he was sleeping, woke him up and immediately detained him.

Adam told the lawyer Heba Ghbareyah after she visited him in Damon prison: “They forced me to kneel after they blindfolded me and tied my hands and feet. After an hour of kneeling, I could not bear the pain. A month before my arrest, I was injured in a car accident. The joint of my left foot was fractured. I had platinum implants in it. When the pain became severe, I called someone I asked him that I stand up because of the pain in my feet, but he grabbed me by the neck and took me to another room, and started hitting my head against the wall that is made of gypsum, several strong and painful blows. As a result of this, the wall was broken because of the severity of the blows, then he grabbed me and lifted me up and hit my body onto the ground, and started stomping on me with his foot all over my body, especially on the place of platinum, causing me terrible pain”.

He added “Then he forced me to enter the investigations room, and interrogated me 4 hours, then 3 persons enter and started beating me severely, and threatened me with an electric shocker”.

The prisoner Adam was transferred to court and his detention was extended, at a time when he was unable to walk due to severe pain, swelling of his foot (place of platinum) and the bruises he suffered during the brutal interrogation.

He stayed in Al-Maskobeyah prison for 23 days, during which he was interrogated 11 times, and each time he was subjected to beatings and threats, then he was transferred into Damon Prison. Now he is scheduled to be presented to the court on 09/13/2023.
