The school year began in Palestine, but the children of the abandoned village of al-Mu’arjat remained in their homes

In early July, the residents of al-Mu’arjat left their homes after repeated harassment by settlers from the nearby illegal outpost. These harassments included raids on the village and homes, thefts, physical assaults, and threats, culminating in the establishment of a new outpost next to the homes.

The Supreme Court ruling stipulated that the army must allow the residents to return to their homes and secure them. However, when they attempted to do so, the army did not prevent the settlers from entering, threatening them, and burning the buildings.

To this day, the villagers live in a place without a place, without shade, without a source of livelihood, and without support. From this perspective, they view the abandoned al-Mu’arjat with sadness. Even the children are deprived of an education.
