Occupation approves a settlement plan to build 4,000 settlement units in the Jerusalem hills

Israeli media sources revealed on Wednesday 9-6-2017 that the so-called State Council for Planning and Building, belonging to occupation, approved on Tuesday 5-9-2017 a new settlement plan to build thousands of settlement units on the “surrounding” hills of occupied Jerusalem.

The newspaper “Haaretz”  said on its website: “Israel” considers the construction in this area is necessary because of the lack of building land in Jerusalem.

It noted that the Society for the Protection of Nature and Environmental Groups  protested the plan, because the construction in this area will cause environmental damage to the landscape and springs in the region.

According to the newspaper, the new settlement plan covers 600 acres where 4000 units will be built.
