On 13 June 2017, Israeli police officers knocked on a door in Silwan, East Jerusalem. When no one answered, they demanded that the brother who lives next door give them the keys to the house. An argument ensued; Israeli police officers then assaulted the man and his son, broke the man’s arm, and arrested both father and son. The footage shows part of the incident as recorded by a neighbor on his cell phone. This incident illustrates how unbearably easy it is for Israeli police officers to abuse East Jerusalem residents.
