Occupying State: Racism and Religious Discrimination Represented by a Law Prohibiting Azan in Mosques

The Constitution Committee of the Israeli Knesset will discuss on Tuesday, 19-6-2018, what is known as the “Muezzin Law”, which deals with arrangement cases, in which loudspeakers may be used in mosques to call the pray (Azan).

According to the listed proposals, Minister of Environmental Protection is entitled, in coordination with the Minister of the Interior, to identify cases in which loudspeakers may be used.
