Testimony of minor prisoners severely beaten during their detention

Palestinian Prisoner’s Club advocates reported testimonies of minor prisoners at Ofer detention center, they were severely beaten by the Israeli occupation forces during their arrest.

In a testimony of four boys from Beit Ummar town in the Hebron governorate: Mehdi Ibrahim Abu Maria (17 years), Qusay Mohammed Abu Maria (16 years), Khattab Wahid Abu Maria (17 years) and Rakan Nasser Abu Maria, (16 years), they reported that “the Israeli soldiers beat them severely during their arrest on 14 September 2018, and continued the attack them during the transfer to “Kiryat Arba” settlement. They all were injured as a result.

Ahmed Harb Dali, a 15-year-old boy from Beddo village, said that the Israeli soldiers beat him severely during his arrest on 21 September 2018.

Mohammed Sami al-Titi (17 years old) from al-‘Arroub refugee camp was also severely beaten, causing bruises, during his detention on 18 September 2018.

In this context, the Palestinian Prisoner Club said that 95% of the detainees are subjected to physical and psychological torture during the arrest process, and that extends during the interrogation period.
