“Reem Nabhan, the soul of the soul.” The child martyr who took our souls

Reem, who was three years old, was martyred in an Israeli raid on her home in the Gaza Strip, but her grandfather, Khaled Nabhan, who will miss her, seeks solace in her absence in any way.
Grandfather Khaled Nabhan gently and carefully pulled a small gold earring from the martyr’s ear and hung it on his chest so that the nostalgia for her memory would remain eternal.
The grandfather never forgets the moments of happiness he lived with his granddaughter, Reem, who always caressed him and made him happy.

He remembers his words to her, where he used to say to her: “Oh my love, my heart, my eyes,” while she was bringing him food and water.

A few days ago, a video clip spread widely on social media, showing grandfather Nabhan carrying the body of his granddaughter Reem in his arms, bidding her farewell in a different way, after her life was extinguished by the Israeli bombing, along with her baby brother, Tariq.
The clip was widely circulated by social media users, showing the grandfather caressing his granddaughter’s body, caressing it with affectionate words such as “soul of the soul,” and embracing her in the moments of final farewell.

Nabhan says: “We woke up to rubble falling on top of us as a result of the Israeli bombing of our house in the Nuseirat camp in the central Gaza Strip.”

He added: “I found myself under the rubble of the house. I sustained bruises and my daughter was injured, while we lost my grandchildren Reem and Tariq, and my other son and daughter were injured.”

He continues, saying: “The bombing occurred during the night hours without any warning.”

“My granddaughter Reem, the spirit of the spirit, lived with me constantly. I used to play with her every day, but I did not tell her the soul of the soul.

I used to say to her: Oh my love, my heart, my eyes.”Regarding his longing for her after her martyrdom, he says: “Reem, the soul of the soul, slaughtered my soul. I wake up and sleep, with tears filling my eyes

He continues: “The occupation burned our hearts in the Gaza Strip.”

Nabhan says: “Since her martyrdom last week, I have been going to visit her in the grave, as if they were sleeping. I say to them: How are you? And I cannot forget.”

He added: “Reem was a part of my life. Before her passing, I dreamed of her growing up and fulfilling her dream of going to university and consulting with me about choosing her major.”
