Peace Now Explained: Average of 50 apartments built every day in West Bank during nine months of negotiations

Israeli largely expanded settlement in West Bank and Jerusalem, a Peace Now report said Tuesday, April 29 2014.

“During the past nine months of negotiations with the Palestinians, Israel has approved a total of 13,851 housing units in the West Bank and East Jerusalem through promoting plans and issuing tenders: an average of 50 apartments built every day, amounting to 1,540 every month, and other 4,793 new units have also been approved for construction outside the settlement blocks in the near future, the report said.

Bayit Ha-Yehudi attacked the report saying: “The reports of Peace Now are like talks about the Israel State Lottery, It is always fun to receive them. The government should build more anywhere in the country, It’s the only way to do Zionism and to lower the housing prices.”
